This is a shirt that I refashioned awhile ago by altering its size, dip dying, and adding buttons and a tag. I wanted the dip dye to be messy on the shirt so I crumpled the shirt while it was dipped. I love the color!
This is the dye that I used, and if you live where I live, it is the only kind of clothing dye that can be found. No wonderful liquid RIT to pour so accurately onto the clothes.
This dye is a powder and must be dissolved in water and kept hot while the dye is processing. I use a giant pot on the stove for my dye projects.
It works very well, as you can see. The color is brilliant and set permanently. I have only one problem ..... when I am finished, I have a giant pot of dye that goes to waste. Or does it??

I pour the dye into a plastic recycled milk bottle. It is now ready to be reheated and "dye another day." (Are you a James Bond fan?)
